Martin Motorsports supports early and continuing rider education in all forms. Everyone on the road benefits from rider improvement. Motorcycle Safty Foundation Logo

For the new rider we believe that there is no better entry rider education program than the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and its local state organization, the Motorcycle Safety Program. There is no better way to learn about motorcycling and get your license in the process. Read on to learn more about how to sign up for this free course and get on the road the safe and easy way.

The Motorcycle Safety Program (MSP) was established to teach riders of all skill levels the basic fundamentals needed in order to safely operate a motorcycle. The MSP was created from legislation in 1984 and began one year later. The Motorcycle Safety Program is free to all Pennsylvania license holders.  To date, over 330,000 people have taken the MSP.

MSP provides you with a low-stress environment where you can learn the basic of riding. They provide the bike, the course and the teacher – you bring the enthusiasm. Learn to ride, learn to be safe on the streets and get your license. That’s right. Pass this two week / six class course and you’ll be legal. No need to go for your license because a passing grade here = your motorcycle license AND the course is free.

Statistics have shown that graduates of the MSF programs have lower rates of accidents and some insurance providers will even discount rates for MSF graduates.
With advantages like that you'll be glad to hear that all PA residents with a valid motorcycle learner’s permit are eligible for this course. Upon receiving your permit (easily obtainable through the PA DMV) sign up through the MSF/MSP website for a class at one our recommended locations.
