1979 YAMAHA RD400F DAYTONA

This iconic two stroke was the last air-cooled Yamaha smoker sold in the USA. This 79 RD400F Daytona Special is one of the cleanest available with just 12k miles and is remarkably original including the exhaust! This thing is bone stock right down to the shocks and tool kit under the seat.

This RD starts and runs very well and is totally enjoyable as a "rideable" classic. Exhaust "flappers" have been removed. Ride it and enjoy it while it appreciates!

In preparation for sale we went through the bike thoroughly including:

• New battery
• Carb clean and tune
• New air filter and spark plugs
• New Yokahama tires front and rear
• Front and rear brake calipers rebuilt
• Front and rear master cylinders rebuilt
• Front brake hose replaced

Very minor flaws include acid stains on the exhaust, small decal defect at the rear cowl, very minor degradation on chrome headlight bezel and light scrathes on mirror and rear fender. See pictures. Includes a PA title and 2 keys.
